Melissa brings over two decades of architectural expertise to her role as founder and principal of Foothills Architects Ltd. Established in 2022, her vision for the firm centers on delivering well-crafted, innovative living solutions. Since its inception, she has broadened the firm’s scope to encompass both residential and commercial design, with a strong emphasis on cutting edge processes— including 3D visualization.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Melissa recieved a Bachelor's of Environmental Design from Miami University. In 2002, she moved to Colorado and began her career at a small residential firm in Boulder. Her skills in both traditional hand drafting and modern computer-aided design quickly elevated the quality and efficiency of the firm’s construction drawings.

Melissa’s work is showcased in a range of projects—from custom homes to prominent hotel and convention centers in Denver and Greeley, Colorado, and Casper, Wyoming. Her commitment to thoughtful design and technical excellence continues to shape Foothills Architects’ reputation for quality and creativity.

In addition to her ‘day job’, Melissa has served as President of the Conifer Chamber of Commerce, on the Conifer Area Council and on the Board of Elk Creek Fire Protection District. Additionally, she continues to coordinate the Elevation Celebration and Conifer Christmas Parade for the Conifer Community for more than a decade.
